If I had to finish the quote, it would say, “keeps the doctor away” which in my case wouldn’t be a very good thing, considering I’m married to one! So no apples for me then… That was a lame joke, I apologise.
So, only 8 days left folks! It’s been a good journey so far, for me at least, it’s kept me accountable to my little journaling (if that’s a word) habits. So I’m going to start of this post explaining to you how my day started. To fill you in, I’ve been sick for the last 10 days, now when I get sick it’s usually a big deal, because I have terrible asthma and the common cold, can turn into pneumonia fairly quickly with me. (I don’t mean to be dramatic, but it’s the truth)
So I’ve basically been doing nothing apart from work for the last couple of days, which means going from gym 5 days a week, to nothing. I’m not going to lie, it was amazing for me to relax, but I knew I had to get backinto it eventually. So today was my first day back. It sucked. I walked to gym in the cold, did about 3/4ths of my routine, and then ran 3kms. Not ideal. I was so weak, and I was actually frustrated that I couldn’t manage my usual workout.
The good news is that I know I will get back into it eventually, and will work on getting even stronger. I’m thankful today that I have that ability, granted I may not be the healthiest person on the planet, I’m far from the worst off.
My miracle today, is the fact that I’m healthy and I have the ability to do a lot of things that others are not. As an extra bonus, to avoid this being so similar to day 5, the ability to heal. Thank you Jesus that you are our healer, physically, emotionally and mentally.
